How to book a makeup artist for your wedding?

Bridal hair and makeup bookings can be a lengthy. You should consider booking your wedding bridal makeup artist and hairstylist up to a year in advance. There are so many different areas to cover such as your timeline, wedding hair and makeup look, booking your trial, consulting with your bridal party about services and so much more.

I am delighted to offer mobile hair and makeup services in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton, ensuring you look and feel your best on your special day. But that's not all! Services and Questions

Bridal Hair and Makeup Package: Includes a hair and makeup, bridal preview styling (up to 3 hours), Pinterest inspiration board, email contact up to the wedding day, on-location styling for the day of (2 hours), touch up kit and lashes.
*In 2024 I will only be offering day of services only for brides who are choosing the elopement package and have no additional guests
Elopement Package: Virtual consultation, Bridal Hair and Makeup on the wedding day (up to 3 hours), Pinterest inspiration board, email contact up to the wedding day, on-location styling for the day of, touch up kit and lashes.
- The elopement package includes up to 3 hours with me to account for not doing a wedding preview before the wedding day)
Additional Guest Services: Makeup Application, Hair Styling
- Lip touch ups and additional false lashes are available
Small Party Package: Jacqueline can accommodate up to 6 services on a wedding morning, including the bride
Large Party Package: A Large Party Package must be booked for bookings over 6 services. An assistant is included in this package. Each artist has a minimum of 4 services each. The Large Party Package includes the bridal services plus 6+ additional services. A $100 booking fee is added to large bridal packages for assistant bookings.
Return for touch ups / changes
Please inquire with Jacqueline directly if you would like any touchups or changes later in the day. Fee’s start at $400 for this service.
Early Mornings: All early mornings before 8:00am are subject to a $50 /hr early morning fee
What to expect
Bridal styling previews are apart of your bridal package, unless you have booked an elopement package. This is our opportunity to get to know each other, exchange ideas and inspiration and for me to get to know your hair, features and skin. We will work towards achieving your desired hair and makeup look for your wedding day.
Once we have styled your hair and makeup at the preview, we may decide to add extensions for the wedding day, plan any changes or adjustments.
Styling previews last up to 3 hours. If you would like changes and styling beyond 3 hours it will be an additional fee. Please ensure your guest knows how long the appointment may last.
Trial Locations
Squamish - I have a small home studio in Squamish where I can conduct styling previews. Please note this is a small space and I am unable to accommodate more than 1 guest in the space.
If you live in Squamish, I can alternatively travel to your home for the styling preview.
Outside of Squamish - I can travel to you for a styling preview outside of Squamish for my travel rate of $0.68/km
All bridal makeup packages include a touchup kit. The kit is valued at $25
The kit includes:
Lip Colour Touchup, Powder Touch Up, Beauty Blender, Powder Puff, Straw, Mint, Toothpick, Bobby Pins, Makeup Remover, Tissue and Blotting Papers.
Jacqueline is able to accommodate a maximum of 6 services for a wedding. If more services are required, an assistant must be booked. Squamish assistants are not guaranteed as we have a small community of hair and makeup artists. Assistants outside of Squamish are subject to a travel fee.
A minimum of 4 services are required to book an assistant. All assistants are subject to a $100 administration booking fee.
Destination weddings are any wedding bookings that require 2+ hours of driving, flying or require a ferry.
Accommodation:
Accommodation must be booked for artists for all destination weddings. 2 nights may be required depending on location. Please inquire.
Services:
Jacqueline can accommodate up to 7 services for destination weddings. Assistants are not always available for destination weddings, so please inquire if you have a large bridal party.
Fees:
All travel fees must be covered by the client including, mileage, ferries, planes, accommodation and travel time.
Travel outside of Squamish is calculated at the standard rate of $0.68/km. This covers the driver only. If assistants are required, I charge an additional $50/hr per artist for travel time.
If pay parking is required, it will be added to the bill and charge after the event.
Ferry Reservation is mandatory for bookings. All rates as per BC Ferries.
In order to secure your booking a 40% deposit is required.
Bookings are taken at a first come first serve basis and are only secure if a deposit is paid.
Bridal styling previews are for clients who have secured their booking and are conducted in Squamish. Additional travel fees are applied if a trial cannot be conducted in Squamish.
Bookings that require a ferry or more than 2 hours travel must provide accommodation the night before the date of services.
A minimum fee is required for all bookings (before fees/tax/travel)
(2024) Monday - Thursday $450, Friday & Sunday $600, Saturday’s $900
You can still book if you are under the minimum with services chosen, but the minimum amount would still apply.
